About this Event

Let’s play! This online workshop is for teachers who want to learn what clowning is, refresh their knowledge of Lecoq clowning, and/or learn ways to teach clown safely to young people. Yes, you will need to get up and be a bit silly in the comfort of your own home for this workshop – it's hard to teach clown if you haven't played before!

About Amy

Amy Atkins is a professional performing artist and educator. Amy is an alumnus of John Bolton Theatre School, which is where she started learning the art of bouffon, clown, melodrama, and neutral mask. She continues to train clown performance by making clown-centric theatre, teaching clown, and attending workshops – past tutors include Fraser Hooper (NZ), Steph Kehoe (AU), Anya Tate-Manning and Tessa Waters (NZ), Thomas LaHood (NZ), Penny Baron (AU), and Elf Lyons (UK).
