About this Event
Constable loved to paint cloud studies during his years in Hampstead, and many of the rural scenes surrounding the Heath. Having first taken summer lodgings in the area, he later moved his family to North London permanently. To mark the 250th anniversary of the artist’s birth, join Assistant Curator Helen Woollison as we explore Constable’s life and art in Hampstead. This talk will take place in the Wells Room where you will also get a chance to see our John Constable exhibition, including an oil study for Hampstead Heath with Rainbow, currently on loan to Burgh House.
Talk begins: 1.30pm
Please note: Although this is a free talk, booking is necessary as numbers are limited. We kindly ask that if you have booked and are unable to come, you get in touch with us at [email protected].
