DE: Konkret und geerdet wie ein Stein, flüchtig und wandelbar wie eine Wolke – die Musik von Cloud and Stone lässt Texturen miteinander in Kontakt treten, Aggregatzustände ineinander übergehen. Taiko Saito, Alexander Beierbach und Maike Hilbig schaffen dafür in ihren Kompositionen immer neue Klangfiguren, die ebenso greifbar wie suggestiv sind. Das mit kammermusikalischer Intensität und gleichzeitig großer improvisatorischer Freiheit agierende Berliner Trio gab 2023 ein erstes Konzert und spielte kurz darauf Demoaufnahmen ein. Die Drei kennen sich seit langem aus verschiedenen musikalischen Zusammenhängen und bilden jetzt eine Nachbarschaftsband: Mit ihren Familien wohnen sie nur einen Steinwurf voneinander entfernt.

EN: Concrete and grounded like a stone, fleeting and changeable like a cloud – the music of Cloud and Stone brings textures into contact and transitions between states of matter. In their compositions, Taiko Saito, Alexander Beierbach, and Maike Hilbig create ever-new soundscapes that are both tangible and evocative. This Berlin trio performs with chamber-music intensity and a great sense of improvisational freedom. In 2023, they gave their debut concert and shortly after recorded demo tracks. The three have known each other for a long time through various musical collaborations and now form a neighborhood band: they live just a stone's throw away from each other with their families.
