Climate Schools Eco-Conference 2026
How climate-friendly is your school? Whether you're just making a start or you're a green pioneer with a fully embedded climate curriculum, bristling with solar panels and with compost coming out of your ears - you're not alone and we'd love you to join us at Leeds Civic Hall for the Climate Schools Eco-Conference 2026!
- Be inspired by other schools who have taken climate action
- Learn from climate specialists
- Talk to organisations who are offering resources and support for schools
- What does a Climate Action Plan look like? Share successes and challenges in planning, creating, implementing and monitoring your sustainability action plan
- Share ideas about collaborating with other schools to contribute to Child Friendly Leeds Wish 5 - "Everyone takes more action to protect the environment from climate change"
Up to 6 pupils / students from Upper KS2 and Secondary are invited to attend along with up to 3 adults from each school. Please book for the total number of young people + adults that you are bringing. The restriction on numbers is just to allow as many schools as possible to attend. If you would like to bring more than 6 students + 3 adults please email [email protected]
We suggest a good combination of adults to bring could be the school Sustainability Lead from the curriculum side / someone able to make decisions on school carbon reduction eg Business Manager / someone from SLT who can really facilitate sustainability decisions in school and perhaps a governor with responsibility for sustainability.
