About this Event
Join us for the Climate Ready Homes: Home Flood Protection Workshop, where you'll learn about common home flooding issues, practical solutions and tips to address them, and information about available rebate and incentive programs. The workshop is led by The Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation (Intact Centre) - an applied research centre that works with homeowners, communities, governments and businesses to identify, and reduce, the impacts of extreme weather and climate change.
What you'll learn:
- How to identify indoor and outdoor home flooding challenges
- What solutions work best for your home (e.g., rain garden, sump pump, or backwater-valve)
- Practical tips on how to hire an expert to address larger issues (e.g. major foundation repair, waterproofing, dealing with mold, or landscaping)
- Available rebates and incentives for home flood protection measures.
Attend for a chance to win door prizes and enjoy FREE snacks!
- Date and Time: Tuesday March 31, 6:30 - 8:00 PM
