Til netop denne koncert får Claudio selskab af den brasilianske bassist Romulo Duarte, som har slået sine folder i brasiliansk populærmusik og optrådt i utallige sammenhænge på verdens jazzscener.

Experience Claudio Suriano’s new album “Earth Calling” performed for the first time ever in duo in the intimate setting of Amager Records for an unforgettable night of the VinterJazz 2025.
For this particular concert, Claudio will be joined by Brazilian bass player Romulo Duarte, who has played with the who's who of jazz and Brazilian popular music.
The duo blends minimalistic composition, bold improvisation, dreamy soundscapes, and soulful melodies in a dynamic performance. Expect a bold exploration of jazz that highlights the musical versatility of both musicians.

We proudly present Earth Calling – a live jazz concert that merges tradition and innovation, drawing listeners into a world of evocative melodies, bold improvisation, and dreamy soundscapes.
At the forefront is the Italian guitarist Claudio Suriano, whose vision shaped the album Earth Calling, now brought to life on stage. Joining him the Brazilian bass player Romulo Duarte De Oliveira.
Claudio Suriano is a Copenhagen-based guitarist and composer who has collaborated with established artists from the jazz scene, such as Danish pianist Niels Lan Doky, British singer Jordan Jackson, and U.S. jazz legends Paul Wertico and Steve Roby.
Romulo Duarte De Oliveira is a talented bassist from Rio de Janeiro now based in Copenhagen, who tours extensively across Europe with various international acts.
Together, they create a dynamic, engaging performance that captivates from start to finish.
This concert is more than just entertainment. It’s an immersive experience that explores the depth and versatility of jazz, offering everything from introspective ballads to foot-tapping grooves. The synergy between Suriano’s inventive guitar work and Romulo’s tight rhythmic foundation transforms each performance into a spontaneous adventure, pushing the boundaries of improvisation and showcasing the individual brilliance of each musician.
