Classical Traditions: East Meets West in the Key of C

Join us at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church in Seattle where the Seattle Peace Chorus directed by Frederick N. West will build a song bridge spanning Eastern and Western classical traditions. For the first half of the concert with guest artists South Indian violinist Amrutha Varshini Achalla tabla player Anil Prasad and composer and lead vocalist Richard Russell the chorus will perform original kirtan music. For the second half Amrutha Anil and a string quartet led by guest artist Matt Weiss will accompany our performance of movements from Beethoven’s Mass in C.
