About this Event
Maybe you like your eggs served with Beethoven’s Egmont Overture? How about Max Richter with a maximum-strength Americano, Purcell with your Pancakes or Brahms with your Bloody Mary?
Georgia Mann and Rob Winter return to Spiritland with a new series: Classical Brunch.
They’re soundtracking your Sunday brunch with an eclectic classical mix, which will perfectly complement a specially designed Brunch menu here at Spiritland.
Georgia and Rob provide musical options for the classically curious.
Georgia presents BBC Radio 3’s most listened to show, Essential Classics, regularly reaching more than a million people a week. Rob is a sound engineer, mixing everything from the BBC Proms to Paul Weller albums. Between them Georgia and Rob have worked on BBC Radio 4’s Front Row, engineered coverage of the late Queen’s funeral from Westminster Abbey, presented documentaries about Beethoven’s health and Rachmaninov’s hypnosis, and crucially, mixed the Hey Duggee Christmas single.
The Classical DJ project came into being at Idler Festival, with a classical set in a 17th century orchard, and progressed to Glastonbury where they’ve played three times. They’ve also appeared at Bristol Beacon as part of the Bristol BBC Proms. Come and enjoy brunch while Georgia and Rob play a Classical DJ set and offer insights into the people and places which gave us some of the most enduring music of all time.
The brunch is a ticketed event. Your ticket gets you admission for the session and one brunch dish from the below. Additional food, drinks and service charge will be added on the afternoon.
