Classic Card Games @ Something in the Water Toronto

Whether you're a seasoned player or new to card games, this event offers something for all levels of experienced gameplay. Come as a group or solo and we can help pair you with a community table. Our events are a great way to connect with members of local communities and are perfect for folks arriving in Toronto looking to make new friends.

What card games will be played? Our on-site expert is familiar with a number of card games, most notably Euchre, Hearts, Cribbage, Scopa, and Briscola. They will also help set up the tables of players and teach the game that works for the number of players and the interests of the group. These games vary from team and individual trick taking games, to matching and score-maximizing, and even a bit of deception mixed in.

General Admission Tickets and Private Tables: Thanks to the generosity of Something in the Water, we have a number of tables to play assorted card games! Tickets for this event include access to the venue and a game expert who can help with player introductions, teaching the rules, and coaching new players. Tickets are priced and sold per person and for teams.

Changeling Membership Admission: Changeling Memberships include event discounts for our paid subscribers. After just two events in a month, our members save, with a potential for over $80+ in savings monthly! Each Membership ticket purchased for this event must have a single individual corresponding Patreon Membership subscription. Proof of subscription will be required at the door. Alternatively, a temporary Membership Pass may be presented with a stamp slot available per ticket purchased.

Food & Drink: There is no minimum spend, but purchasing is strongly encouraged to support the venue so they can keep offering these card game nights. The recommended minimum is $25 per person (~ one drink and one food item). Something in the Water has a delicious and unique drinks menu with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, and their food partner, Ghost Tacos, has the perfect dinner menu to pair with.

About : A curious beverage company based in Toronto. Their location in Liberty Village is the flagship brewery and taproom so you can experience the delicious brews fresh on-site. The vibe is intentionally set to be more Barcelona Cafe than Munich Beer Hall. For every can, five cents are donated to Swim Drink Fish supporting clean water across Canada.
