Class of ’79 is a Punk / New Wave super group featuring Steve Crittall, Phil Thompson, Simon Bowley and Mike Lea.
Steve Crittall (guitar) has had a long and successful career with an impressive list of bands including The Godfathers (6yrs), The Selecter (3 yrs), UK Subs (48 date U.S tour), Ten Benson (4yrs). and Black Bombers (5 yrs). Phil Thompson (guitar/vocals) is best known for his dynamic and flamboyant performances as guitarist with The Rezillos, he has also recently been seen onstage as guitarist for Vapors.
Simon Bowley (drums) has been the driving force for punk pioneers Eddie & the Hot Rods for 28 years playing shows all over the world. Mike Lea (bass) spent many years with Manchester band Sugar Bullets, later joining Department S.
