Have you ever thought about becoming a Living History Reenactor or volunteering at the Fort at No 4?
!!!This is the perfect event for you!!!
This weekend we will have experienced *participants* emulating 18th century soldiers, rangers, militiamen and civilians sent to Number 4 during the 1750s.
They will be available to teach *prospective* reenactors the ropes of what to expect at a reenactment, or while volunteering as a living history interpreter.
Prospective attendees are welcome to attend ALL the presentations and workshops, learning about life and warfare on the frontier in the 1750's. Prospective attendees are not expected to have any special clothing or equipment.
Participants will be overnighting in the Fort at No 4 for the weekend. They will be dressed in mid 18th century attire, meals will be prepared in the fireplaces, and men at arms will carry a flintlock of the period with a hunting pouch or cartridge box.

As this is a fortified village and not a military fort, there is opportunity for civilians to demonstrate their craft or period skills as well!
During the day participants of various units will be under the direction of their unit commanders and are requested to have groups of six men (referred to as a mess). A mess leader will create a schedule for sentinels on fire watch throughout the night in two-hour shifts. Groups will be assigned gates and duty stations. Fire watch will be from sundown to sunrise. There is always a risk of attack by unfriendly forces! When an alarm is given soldiers will move to their assigned defensive positions.
***April in New Hampshire can be quite cold, and snow is possible, so winter dress is recommended. (Most interior spaces will have fires lit in the fireplaces.)
