The Clark College Concert Choir under the direction of Dr. Jacob Funk and pianist Dr. Jeongmi Yoon, as well as the student-led Chamber Choir, present their Spring Concert on Saturday, June 13, 2026, 7:30 pm at First United Methodist Church, 401 E 33rd St, Vancouver, WA. The admission is free and open to the public. Donations to the Clark College Choral Fund accepted at the door. The Chamber Choir is a student-led ensemble and will lead-off Saturday’s program with four beautiful octavos. Their set includes music from Ticheli, McGlynn, and the rapturous “There Will Come Soft Rains” by Ivo Antognini.
The Concert Choir will be performing the World Premiere of James Pick’s SATB “Let Us Awake.” The poetry is by Rabindranath Tagore and speaks to setting aside differences that divide and urging the listener to pursue knowledge, reason, and truth. They will also sing Thompson’s “The Last Words of David” which speaks to the qualities one might expect from a just ruler. Concert Choir will also sing two works by Runestad along with many other pieces. We are pleased to have student conductor Anastasia Ryder leading the choir on one of our pieces.
