Pianist Ciro Magnani brings his quartet featuring Brazilian bassist and composer Rafael Abdalla, with Eugene’s Ben Harris on saxophone and Jay Veach on drums.
A carioca soul with many influences, Brazilian pianist Ciro Magnani's sound is very reminiscent of his heroes: Cesar Camargo Mariano, Amaro Freitas, Rafael Vernet, Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett and Oscar Peterson.
Brazilian bass player and Latin Jazz composer Rafael Abdalla has been one of the most active musicians in the Brazilian music scene over the last ten years. He has recorded three albums as a leader and has participated in over 20 other instrumental albums. As a sideman, composer and arranger he has worked with some of the most important musical figures in Brazil.
