Glebe Farm and Stechford Residents and Flatpack invite you to join us in Glebe Farm Recreation Ground for a screening of the classic, and much-loved, The Lion King.
Set in a kingdom of lions in Africa, The Lion King tells the story of Simba, a lion cub who is to succeed his father, Mufasa, as King of the Pride Lands; however, after his uncle Scar kills Mufasa to seize the throne, Simba is tricked into believing he was responsible for his father's death and flees into exile. Will Simba ever return? Who will be King of the Pride Lands?
The Lion King is suitable for all ages.
Thanks to The Commonwealth Games Legacy Fund this is a free screening.
The "doors open" from 7.45pm - bring snacks and a blanket to sit on. Please note, this is a no alcohol event.
The film starts at dusk - about 8.10pm - and ends at 9.40ish
Don't forget there is only very limited on-street parking at Glebe Farm Recreation Ground. If you can walk, please do. If driving please park on side roads (not just on Glebe Farm Road, where parking will be limited)
Even if it's warm when the film starts it will be chilly by the end so bring blankets and jumpers
