About this Event

Join us for an evening where the science and technologies of artificial intelligence meet the arts and theories of cinema.

The King's Festival of Artificial Intelligence is thrilled to announce the launch of Cinema and Machine Vision: Artificial Intelligence, Aesthetics and Spectatorship, a new book by Dr Daniel Chávez Heras that explores how AI is reshaping our understanding of film and television through the automation of vision. (Edinburgh University Press) delves deep into the computing technologies that are driving this transformation in visual culture and the new ways of analysing, producing, and enjoying movies.

Meet the author and distinguished guests, as they engage in conversation with a live audience about key applications and implications of AI in contemporary visual culture and the creative industries. Whether you are a student or established practitioner, a filmmaker or a technologist; if you are curious about how to re-think cinema through AI, this is an event you will not want to miss!
