Im sechsten Jahr seines Bestehens bringt CineDì diesmal das italienische Kino der 1950er bis 1970er Jahre zurück auf die Leinwand und würdigt an jeweils zwei Sonntagnachmittagen im Monat drei kürzlich verstorbene „Diven“: Catherine Spaak, Monica Vitti und Gina Lollobrigida.
Kuratiert von Mara Martinoli, mit der Unterstützung des Italienischen Kulturinstituts in Berlin.

In Paris sucht Tino Orsini, Sohn eines verunglückten Kollegen, den früheren Weltklasse-Artisten Mike Ribble auf. Ribble hat seit einem gescheiterten Versuch, den dreifachen Salto am Zirkustrapez zu demonstrieren, seine Karriere vor Jahren aufgegeben. Dem Alkohol zugetan und eine bleibende Verletzung am Bein davon tragend, arbeitet er nur noch als Takelmeister. Der Zirkusbesitzer und Ribbles frühere Geliebte Rosa, eine Kunstreiterin, überreden ihn dazu, den Amerikaner zu trainieren und auf eine gemeinsame Trapez-Nummer und den dreifachen Salto hinzuarbeiten. Die attraktive Trampolinspringerin Lola möchte ebenfalls in die Trapez-Nummer aufgenommen werden. Von Ribble nicht akzeptiert, vermag Lola während eines Zwischenfalls in der Manege durch einige Tricks am Seil zu überzeugen. Noch immer von Ribble ignoriert, beginnt sie, den jungen Tino zu verführen…

CineDì - Bellissima: Omaggio alle Ultime Dive
Al sesto anno dalla sua nascita, CineDì riporta sullo schermo il cinema italiano dagli anni Cinquanta agli anni Settanta. Lo fa rendendo omaggio a tre “dive” recentemente scomparse: Gina Lollobrigida, Catherine Spaak e Monica Vitti.

Mike Ribble era una volta uno dei migliori trapezisti del mondo, il sesto ad essere riuscito nel triplo salto mortale. Purtroppo, un errore nell’esecuzione dell’esercizio lo ha reso claudicante e, dunque, l’uomo ha smesso di esibirsi. Tino Orsini, un giovane ed ambizioso trapezista, cerca Ribble per farsi insegnare la tecnica del triplo salto mortale e chiedergli di eseguirlo con lui. Ribble e Orsini grazie al loro salto diventano la principale attrazione del circo, ma la presenza di Lola, anche lei trapezista decisa ad avere un posto al sole, si insinua fra i due, finendo col creare un triangolo amoroso che metterà a dura prova il rapporto fra i due uomini.

In its sixth edition since its launch, CineDì brings Italian cinema from the 1950s to the 1970s back to the silver screen. This time it pays tribute to three recently deceased italian ‘divas’: Gina Lollobrigida, Catherine Spaak and Monica Vitti.

Mike Ribble was once one of the world's best trapeze artists, the sixth to succeed in the triple somersault. Unfortunately, an error in the execution of the exercise left him with a limp and he therefore stopped performing. Tino Orsini, a young and ambitious trapeze artist, sought out Ribble to be taught the technique of the triple somersault and ask him to perform it with him. Ribble and Orsini, thanks to their jump, become the circus's main attraction, but the presence of Lola, also a trapeze artist determined to have a place in the sun, insinuates herself between the two, eventually creating a love triangle that will put the relationship between the two men to the test.
The film is followed by a Q&A and CineDì closing toast offered by the Italian Institute of Culture in Berlin
