Join us on a visit to Hybrid Air Vehicles engineering and technology centre!
The Airlander 10, developed by in the UK, originated as a US Army surveillance project (LEMV) before being repurposed for commercial use. Originally flying in 2012, this unique 92-meter-long hybrid aircraft uses helium for buoyancy and aerodynamic lift. It is designed for eco-tourism, logistics, and low-emission, long-endurance travel.

Together with hearing about the history, technology and future of this unique aircraft, delegates will have the opportunity to tour the centre and look at major components and hard structures from the prototype vehicle - including the original payload module and propulsors – together with a life size mock-up of the production standard cabin for tourism.
“Airlander is a hybrid aircraft offering an unmatched combination of payload volume, payload weight, and range. An aircraft that will support mainstream logistics accelerate high value supply chains off ships, taking weeks to reach their destination, into the air at a fraction of the cost and emissions of current air freight options.
It can land and take off from any relatively flat surface - grass, tarmac, sand, marsh, ice or water, minimising needs for new built environment or hard infrastructure and opening up direct connections to points of need. 10-tonne, 50+ tonne and 200+ tonne versions will be available.”
Hybrid Air Vehicles are keen to engage with logistics experts to jointly explore use cases and benefits for larger payload versions of the aircraft. This is a great opportunity to see key aircraft modules and structures, chat to the engineering teams and potentially input to future development directions.
Numbers for this event are limited so don’t delay booking a place on this first CILT visit to Hybrid Air Vehicles!
