This June, SHIMMY SHAKTI TROUPE WELCOMES more than 50 dancers from across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and beyond will gather in New Orleans for an unforgettable celebration of movement, artistry, identity, and Pride.
Presented by @karlamarieshimmysoul and @studioshaktinola, CHROMATICA invites audiences on a vibrant journey through the colors of Pride- each hue representing a different emotion, experience, and chapter of the human story.
Through belly dance, fusion, theatrical movement, and contemporary expression, our performers will explore themes of love, joy, courage, transformation, grief, resilience, belonging, self-discovery, and liberation. Together, these stories weave a powerful reminder that our differences are not divisions—they are the very colors that make our communities beautiful.
