🌈👻 Queering the Quarter 👻🌈Presented by Olive Us & Sydney Thomas
The French Quarter is more than ghost stories, Bourbon Street clichés, and souvenir-shop history. Beneath the balconies and brick streets lies a rich, often overlooked history of queer life, culture, scandal, resistance, and yes, spirits.
Join local tour guide Sydney Thomas for Queering the Quarter, a one-of-a-kind walking tour exploring the haunted history and queer history of the French Quarter. Together, we’ll separate fact from fiction while uncovering the hidden stories, forgotten figures, eerie legends, and LGBTQ+ history that have always been part of New Orleans.
✨ Follow Sydney as she sheds light on the rarely discussed — but always present — queer history of the Quarter, while exploring the haunted tales that still linger after dark.
