Christian Weidner (sax)
Christian Weidner is a composer whose music is deeply influenced by a reflection on inner peace and consciousness, from which diverse compositions emerge. Colored by a kind of internal migration away from the mainstream, whose mechanics he knows well—he played in the BuJazzO at 17—but adeptly navigates around. The Berlin-based alto saxophonist eschews superficiality, not stubbornly, but resolutely. He rarely indulges in pure virtuosity. It's always about the search for the base, for depth, inner calm, and spiritual strength. Encounters with Kenny Werner and Charlie Mariano and years of playing with Gunter Hampel and Albert Mangelsdorff have had an influence here. He studied saxophone at music conservatories in Hamburg, Stockholm, and Berlin, where he has lived since 1999. Since 2003, Christian Weidner has had a close collaboration with Jason Seizer, the producer of the Munich jazz label Pirouet. The music of his quartet with Achim Kaufmann (p), Henning Sieverts (b), and Samuel Rohrer (dr) found its home there, as did that of the Kathrin Pechlof Trio. This trio, in which Weidner plays with his life partner Kathrin Pechlof (harp) and Robert Landfermann (b), was nominated in 2021 in the category ""Radio Production of the Year"" for the ""German Jazz Award.""
Felix Hauptmann (Piano)
As a pianist and composer, Felix Hauptmann is part of the young, progressive jazz scene and is primarily active with his ensemble PERCUSSION, an acoustic piano trio featuring Roger Kintopf (bass) and Leif Berger (drums). He also collaborates with various ensembles such as the Fabian Dudek Quartet, the Pascal Klewer Quintet & Big Band, and the Berthold Brauer Sextet. Since 2020, he has been a lecturer for jazz piano at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. He has released several recordings under his own name, including ""TALK"" and ""Bloom"". In February 2022, the first album of his trio PERCUSSION was released by ""Boomslang Records"".

Aviv Noam - Alto Saxophone
Danielle Friedman - Piano
Tangerine is a musical encounter between two worlds that have existed in similar circles, yet never met; Aviv Noam, an Amsterdam- based Saxophonist, and Danielle Friedman, a Berlin-based pianist. Although they grew up in similar circles, they never discovered their musical chemistry until years after, while individually shaping their artistic careers in Europe.
“Tangerine” resembles both the enchanting citrus smells of their homeland and the tangent meeting point between the two similar yet different worlds of Danielle and Aviv.
When the two collide, their music is as intimate and expressive as it is dynamic, spiced with sprinkles of humor. The two instrumentalists navigate their musical worlds, blending elements from Avant-Garde jazz and improvisation, Western Classical music and Middle Eastern flavors.
