Chris Cain is a respected blues guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, known for his deep, expressive tone and jazz-influenced phrasing. Raised in San Jose, California, he grew up surrounded by blues music, attending his first B.B. King concert at three and absorbing the sounds of Muddy Waters, Ray Charles, and Albert King. He picked up the guitar at eight and was performing professionally before he turned eighteen.
His 1987 debut album, "Late Night City Blues," established him as a rising talent, earning four Blues Music Award nominations and leading to performances with legends like Albert King and Albert Collins. Over the years, he has released a dozen critically acclaimed albums, blending traditional blues with a refined, jazz-influenced approach.
Cain’s powerful vocals and sophisticated guitar work set him apart in the blues world. Whether in the studio or on stage, he delivers music that is both technically impressive and deeply rooted in the blues tradition. With a career spanning over three decades, he remains a respected figure in contemporary blues, carrying the genre forward while staying true to its origins.
