Choose Your Own Agile Adventure: Navigate your own learning journey through 24 Agile Mindset topics

Abstract:

No matter how one tries to be agile in applying the modern ways of working, no matter what framework or tools you use, at the core of truly "being agile" is the foundation called the Agile Mindset. To learn the Agile Mindset, there are principles and human behaviors that are easy to understand but hard to master. Brian is an Agile Coach who has taught hundreds of agile teams and written a book on these concepts. Come navigate your own path with these topics to develop your own learning journey through the Agile Mindset.

In this session, the audience chooses which topics to discuss. Each topic includes the concepts, lessons, and stories an agile coach might tell teams. Brian also provides references to a lot of third party content for the audience to continue their journey after the session.

Parking Instructions:

Please park in the parking garage (parking is free) but be sure to take the Red set of elevators from the garage. You will then take the elevator to the 4th floor and we will have signs but you can look for Suite 406. When you get off of the elevator there is a sign for the Conference Center. There is also a sign in front of the suite that says Conference Room/Training Center.

Brian is an experienced Enterprise Agile Coach. He is a public speaker and the author of the book "The Practical Agilist Guidebook" (PracticalAgilistGuidebook.com) and the agile team assessment "Measure the Mindset" (MeasureTheMindset.com).

Brian has led multiple agile transformations and is passionate about coaching agile concepts and instilling the agile mindset not just with technical teams and business teams but also with executives and management. Brian has broad and deep experience with technology, having worked 20+ years in consulting and at both large commercial enterprise software and funded startup companies.
