About this Event
Join us for a hands-on Livestock Identification Clinic focused on proper tattooing and microchipping techniques.
This is an instructional clinic where participants will learn how to correctly tattoo goats according to ADGA regulations and how to properly implant and document microchips. While goat identification standards will be emphasized, the techniques taught are suitable for all livestock species.
Participants will learn:
• ADGA-compliant tattoo placement and procedures
• How to properly use and sanitize tattoo equipment
• Biosecurity best practices
• Microchip implantation technique
• Accurate identification records and documentation
This clinic is ideal for 4-H and FFA members, new breeders, and livestock owners who want to confidently handle their own identification requirements.
A special thank you to Microchip ID Systems for supporting our youth and helping make this educational opportunity possible.
Spots are limited to allow for meaningful hands-on instruction. Please reserve your place in advance. All proceeds support our youth program.
In the event of inclement weather, clinic will be rescheduled.
Due to limited hands-on space and preparation costs, tickets are non-refundable. You may transfer your registration to another participant or future clinic with prior notice.
