Celebrate light! Attend a Chinese Lantern Festival @The Landing Sat., Feb. 15. Participants will:• Enjoy an authentic Chinese meal of handmade beef dumplings, peanut noodles, cucumber salad, and sweet dumplings prepared by Luther College instructor Hongxiao Yu and friends
• Receive a red “blessing” bag to wish others good luck
• Participate in an “Lucky Dumplings” game for prizes
• Learn how to use chopsticks
Guests are encouraged to wear red and arrive at 5:30 pm for a serving of traditional Chinese snacks. Dinner will be served starting at 6 pm.
The Lantern Festival is a tradition in Chinese and other Asian cultures, celebrated on the 15th day of the first month of the lunar year. This event is one of The Landing’s Passport Dinner Experiences, now in its 3rd year.
Cost is $25/person. Luther College students receive a 20% discount. Space is limited. Registration is required by emailing [email protected]
