Come along for a fun-filled, in-person storytime with local author Kate Cleaver as she reads from her delightful book, Luke & the Lighthouse. Perfect for kids who love adventures and heartwarming tales.

Luke and the Lighthouse is about a brave 11-year-old boy, living in a lighthouse on the East Coast during the Second World War. Once the lighthouse lamps were turned off, the family, their dog and farm animals, were alone on their clifftop. They had crucial wartime work to do, and they faced extraordinary challenges. Nearly everything is a real account of war-time life. The book fits in well with Primary School curriculum when children begin studying the second World War.
