Children’s book author storyteller and teaching artist Thembi Palmer is celebrating the release of her second picture book This Book May Make You Try Things! with an engaging book launch party at Parkway Central Library on Saturday November 8 2025 from 2:00–4:00 PM.
Get ready to celebrate the launch of "This Book May Make You Try Things!" at a jam packed party filled with delicious discoveries! This is more than just a read aloud it’s a hands-on experience. Thembi uses movement games and music to help children explore and overcome food hesitation. The book invites them to discover food and culture through their five senses using rhyme and vibrant images to spark curiosity and courage. The program is specifically designed to be dynamic and fun for families with kids ages 3-8 years.
