CHANGED to FIFTH from THIRD FRIDAY dance for May! THE DANCE WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, MAY 29, DUE TO AN OVERBOOKING AT THE VENUE. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THE MONDAY CLUB ON MAY 15 EXPECTING AN ENGLISH DANCE! (TAI CHI WILL BE IN THE BUILDING INSTEAD.) SORRY FOR THE LATE CHANGE. HOPE TO SEE YOU ON MAY 29.This dance will be delightful for those who enjoy historical dancing, fans of Jane Austen and Bridgerton, and for the curious who have never tried English Country Dancing. All dances are taught and walked through prior to dancing to music. No prior experience is required. We enjoy seeing new faces in our community. No partner is required either, but you can bring a friend or friends for moral support.
We welcome Jonathan Sivier from the Champaign/Urbana, IL area as our caller this month. Jonathan will be calling dances to the lovely music provided by Ragged Robin (Martha Edwards, Tim Hirzel, and Bill Boyer).
Dress comfortably and bring a water bottle. Some dances are zesty.
Admission is $10 for adults; $5 for students. Payment can be made with cash, check, Venmo, or PayPal.
