Your Chef: Anahi Rivadineira
In this class, we explore Chifa cuisine, the Chinese‑Peruvian cooking tradition, through a focused menu of classic dishes. The class is a mix of chef‑led demonstration and guided hands‑on participation. Along the way, we’ll briefly discuss the history of Chinese immigration in Peru and how it shaped Chifa cuisine, one of the country’s most enduring and influential culinary traditions.
On the menu tonight:
Peruvian Sauce Tasting
A guided tasting of classic Peruvian sauces that showcase Chifa cooking
Pork‑Filled Fried Wontons
Crispy, golden wontons filled with savory seasoned pork, fried until light and crunchy, and served with a sweet‑savory dipping sauce.
Peruvian Beef Stir‑Fry with Chinese‑Style Fried Rice
Peru’s most traditional stir‑fry: tender tenderloin beef cooked over intense heat with onions, ají peppers, soy sauce, and vinegar, paired with arroz chaufa—fluffy fried rice with egg and green onion.
Pineapple Upside‑Down Cake
Caramelized pineapple cake subtly flavored with ginger and star anise.

Want to save the Eventbrite fee? You can register in person and over the phone directly with the store (604) 939-6200. Payment is required when you register - visa, MasterCard, gift certificates are accepted over the phone, cash and debit in person.
We have a 72 hour cancelation policy. If you need to cancel but have not given 72 hours notice, no refund, transfer to another class or credit will be issued, but you can send somebody in your place.
In the event that not enough participants are registered, we would have to cancel the class. We will notify registered participants at least 48 hrs prior and issue a full refund.
Please inquire prior to booking if there are any food concerns. Menu modifications can not be provided during the event.
