It’s official, our permits were approved!The first Legends and GM/GGM Beach Ultimate Tournament is all set for Montrose Beach, in Chicago, Sept 6&7th.
This is an awesome addition to our opportunities to play.
Great location & time of year. An early September weekend in Chicago will be fun for players and our partners…and it’s at the same beach location as Sandblast.
We will go live with our tournament registration page on or before Thursday, July 10.
The Legends division will be open+ (4/1, 3/2), 55/60.
The combined GM/GGM division will be open, 40+. Originally envisioned as a GGM division, the GGM captains asked if they could bring some younger friends, and we are very accommodating.
We are working with Illinois Ultimate, the USAU state affilliate. All proceeds after expenses will support IU’s ultimate promoting activities. And the event will be covered by a USAU insurance rider.
There is a $60 registration fee and all participants must be USAU members. Non-members can join USAU, with a $20, one-year affiliate membership.
Free-agents are welcome and encouraged to register. We will offer free agents to teams with smaller rosters and hope to also build a free-agents team.
