Hi everyone,I hope your Thanksgiving was happy and blessed. Food, family, friends, football and maybe a little shopping thrown in for good measure.
I know the 2025 CSA Shag Season just ended, but now it's time to get ready for the Competitive Shaggers Association 2026 Contest Schedule of events. Kicking off the year will be The Charleston Shag Classic on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Charleston Elks Lodge. The day begins at 2:00 PM with open dancing for all with DJ Darrell Gaither. Competition will start with Amateur division at 4:30 PM and the Novice, Sr Pro and Pro will follow through the evening.
Reserved seats and tables are available by contacting Nancy Leonard at [email protected] please refer to the attached flyer for pricing. General admission will be $10. per person with no reserved seat.
Hotel accommodations for the event are Home2 Suites and Towneplace Suites in Charleston, SC Both have a group rate and the deadline is December 24. The details are on the attached flyer for you. Make your reservation right away for the best price and availability.
Food will be available at the Elks Lodge Grill from 5:00-8:00 PM and it is so good! The bar will be open for your convenience during the event day hours.
This CSA Sanctioned contest is hosted by Charleston Shag Club, East Cooper Shag Club and Islanders Shag Club. They always plan a great one day contest for us. Be sure you make plans to be there and invite your family and friends to come along. It will be great competition and F U N all day!
