The Wizard’s Chest is fundraising for The Trevor Project because we believe in their vision to build a world where every LGBTQ+ youngperson feels safe, loved, and celebrated.
To support this cause, The Wizard’s Chest will be fundraising this winter with a goal of $500. We will be holding special events between Christmas and New Years Eve to help us fundraise towards this goal.
1) Our main event day will be Saturday, December28. From 10am to 10:30pm, our game room will be open for people to come and play games in support of this fundraiser. We ask any participants who attend to donate if possible either through the website link provided here or in-person.Suggested donation is $5.
2) We will be holding a similar event during our LGBTQ+Game Night on Tuesday, December 31 (New Years Eve). We will be staying open until just after midnight to ring in the new year.
3) We will be holding a special Magic: The Gathering draft event during Friday Night Magic on 12/27 (more details to come).
The Trevor Project provides free, accessible, 24/7 crisis counseling services via phone (TrevorLifeline), instant messenger (TrevorChat),and text (TrevorText) to young LGBTQ+ people in crisis.
