Are you a freelancer or consultant working in the charity sector in North East England? Looking for a friendly space to connect with others who understand your work? Join us for the first Charity Freelancers - Connect & Co-Work meet-up!

This informal, relaxed day is all about co-working and slow networking. Whether you're tackling your to-do list, brainstorming ideas, or simply looking to share experiences with like-minded professionals, you'll find a supportive and welcoming community here.

We plan to host these monthly events at the café in One Strawberry Lane, Newcastle, every second Thursday of the month, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. Drop in for the whole day or just a couple of hours—whatever works best for you!

There’s no charge to attend, but we do ask that you book a spot so we can plan ahead and make sure there’s space for everyone.

So, grab your laptop, your notebook, or just yourself, and come along for a day of connection, collaboration, and creativity. We can’t wait to see you there!

Why did we set this up?

The truth is working as a freelancer can sometimes feel lonely! While there are plenty of networking events for businesses and charities, there’s a gap for us freelancers and consultants who support them.

We wanted to create a space to bring people together - whether you’re seeking collaboration, conversation, or just a sense of community. It’s also a chance to see who else is out there working in this incredible sector and to build connections that can inspire and support us all.
