Coach’s Training on Developing Character, Culture, and Champions for Life within sportsWhether you are a first-time volunteer coach, a parent stepping up to lead, or a seasoned coach wanting to raise your impact, this seminar is for anyone preparing to coach youth in any sport who desires to win both on and off the field. Learn how to intentionally build a championship culture that develops the athlete and the person without sacrificing passion, joy, confidence, character, or the love of the game. You will receive practical tools, tactical planning strategies, leadership insights, practice and game structure ideas, and relational coaching principles to confidently lead a season that makes a lasting difference in the lives of players and families.
Facilitated by Coach Chris Barr, who has coached football, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, and basketball at multiple levels of competition and development, this session is built from real championship experience and a heart for mentoring young people. Coach Barr currently serves on the coaching staff at Grand View University Football, coming off back-to-back National Championships, and will enter his 10th season with the Vikings this fall. His passion is helping coaches create environments where athletes are challenged, encouraged, loved, developed, and inspired to become the best version of themselves in sport and in life.
