About this Event
London Youth Chamber Choir and conductor Matthew Quinn invite you to their summer concert, featuring a range of choral music from the 12th century to the present day. The centrepiece of the evening is Jonathan Dove's song cycle The Passing of the Year, which journeys through the seasons using evocative settings of texts by renowned poets including William Blake and Emily Dickinson. Alongside this and other contemporary works, you will hear arrangements of traditional songs including 'Shenandoah' and spirituals set by Moses Hogan and Michael Tippett.
The concert will begin at 7.30pm and will last approximately 1 hour 10 minutes with no interval.
