Chad Strentz is the long time singer/rhythm guitarist with Paul Lamb & The King Snakes. For the last 30 years he has played all over Europe and further with Paul Lamb, winning awards such as “Best British Blues Band” along the way. His performances are known for his authentic sounding voice and high energy. Mixing the blues with R&B, soul and Rock´n´Roll, as can be heard on his solo album “Shake Down”.
With The Chain Gang, they dive deep into the catalogue of Chess and Sun Records, Chicago blues and rockabilly, spiced up with some of Chad´s own songs.
In The Chain Gang he is accompanied by the talented guitarist Marc Chain. His guitar style is eclectic, dynamic and deeply rooted in blues and jazz. Inspired by the wild guitar sounds of the sixties, and a lyrical approach to blues, he combines genres in a unique and distinguished way.
The rhythm section consists of none other than Jonas Starcke, known for his New Orleans inspired bass grooves, and the wild Carsten Milner on drums, having backed most of Danish blues singers at the Mojo Blues Jam.
