On 14 March Messums West will host our annual ceramic focused symposium to mark the launch day of the exhibition 'Yakimono: a culture of exchange' with speakers presenting a series of talks on the theme of Anglo-Japanese ceramics.Featuring a demo and Q&A with artist Makoto Kagoshima followed by talks with author and art and design historian Professor Paul Greenhalgh and Dr Simon Kaner, Director of the Centre for Japanese Studies at the University of East Anglia. Followed by Libby Buckley, Director of Leach Pottery.
