An estimated 1 in 7 people in Hong Kong will develop a common mental disorder in their lifetime. Workplace and cultural stress are the usual triggers. But as we are living in a world where we are bombarded with news about wars, natural disasters, financial crises and geopolitical threats, events taking place on the other side of the world can also impact our mental well-being. Business leaders have to carry an additional burden as they need to effectively lead and navigate through chaotic and ever-changing circumstances beyond their control.
Some people, on the other hand, seem to remain unfazed no matter what life throws at them. ‘Mind moment analysis’ is a professional counselling technique rooted in early Buddhist teachings that helps deconstruct disturbing mental phenomena to cultivate stability and clarity. One of the pioneers of introducing this technique into mental health counselling in Hong Kong is Dr George Lee.
The Chamber is delighted to have Dr Lee join us at the Chamber’s “CEO 123 Tell Me More Series” to share his wisdom and experiences. He will talk about the significance of developing psychological wellness and mind moment analysis for business leaders in today’s unstable world. Join us for an interesting hour which will be an investment in your future mental well-being. Chamber CEO Patrick Yeung will moderate what promises to be an inspiring discussion.
About "CEO 123 Tell Me More Series": The Chamber proudly introduced this monthly series last December, which offers a rare opportunity to hear from inspiring individuals in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Moderated by Chamber CEO Patrick Yeung, the talks feature influential figures from business, academic and cultural circles, who share their insights into various topics.
