The conference of Fire Asia, first held in 1987, is a triennial event covering a variety of subjects such as studies of performance-based design, engineering for safety, emergency response, management in emergency services and recent development of emergency preparedness. Distinguished overseas and local speakers will be invited to present their valuable experiences in a three-day conference.The theme of Fire Asia 2024 is tentatively set as “Collaboration and Technology - Connected for a Safer Community” (連繫嶄新科技，共建安全社區). The main objectives of conference are to uphold collaboration and promote technology for a safer community.
Distinguished speakers from overseas, ASEAN Countries, Belt and Road countries, the Mainland including the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) will be invited to share their valuable experiences in various fire safety and research aspects (e.g. innovative technology in Firefighting & Rescue, Fire Engineering, Disaster management, Emergency preparedness, etc.)
It will be jointly organised by the Institution of Fire Engineers (Hong Kong Branch), the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Building Services Division and Fire Division), the Ambulance Service Institute (Hong Kong Branch) and the China Hong Kong Fire Protection Association and also supported by the FSD.
