Join us on Sunday, April 13, from 2pm until 5pm at Republic Square (422 Guadalupe Street)
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and relax on the beautiful Republic Square grounds while you enjoy this gospel jazz concert featuring talented local artists. Food trucks will be available on-site.
Central City Gospel Jazz Festival features local gospel and jazz musicians while celebrating the history and the diversity embedded in the jazz and gospel culture in Austin. The Central City Gospel Jazz Festival also includes storytelling moments, highlighting local historical figures to pay tribute to their lives and contributions to a more inclusive society.

The Pamela Hart Sextet
Pamela Hart is regarded as one of Austin, Texas’ finest vocalist. She is noted by Austin Women’s Magazine as “Austin’s First Lady of Jazz.” Pamela will be joined by pianist Ryan D. Howard, bassist Jeremy George, drummer Charles Phillips, trombonist Andre Hayward, and guitarist Ivan Wallace. Pamela’s vocal style, strongly inspired by jazz instrumentalists, pioneered a new way of manipulating phrasing and tempo. She is known for her vocal delivery and improvisational skills. Pamela is a founding partner of the Women in Jazz Association, Inc. in Austin, Texas.

Christopher D. Spivey & Company (CDS&CO) was established in Austin TX in 2023. Led by the talented Christopher D. Spivey, this dynamic group of singers from Austin and the surrounding area brings a soulful and uplifting experience to every performance. With their harmonious voices and heartfelt passion, they create a powerful connection with their audience, spreading joy, and inspiration through their gospel music.
