Central Calcutta Walks - with Lunch at the Messbari of Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay & Jibanananda Das Sunday, April 12, 2026
Starting from Surendranath College, near Sealdah
10am to 1:30pm
This is a Walking Tour to cover the Bonedi houses and the old city. We will walk down Baithakkhana, Ahmerstreet, Pataldanga before ending our tour at the messbari for Lunch. The tour will be led by Avijit Dhar Chowdhury from Kolkata Explorers ( a division of Green Step Tourism). This is also the 150th year of Vande Bharat national song being written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. We will visit the house of Bankim Chattopadhyay where he breathed his last.
