The Wong Janice will guide you through journaling prompts accompanied by her ambient cello compositions, encouraging deep contemplation and insight. You’ll have 60 minutes to immerse yourself in writing and meditation, fostering clarity and readiness for the upcoming Full Moon’s manifestations.
WHAT WILL YOU EXPERIENCE
Introspective Journaling Session: Upon arrival, enjoy a warm cup of tea as you settle into a comfortable space. The Wong Janice will provide a worksheet with prompts designed to help you assess your progress and refine your goals, all set to the soothing backdrop of her live cello music.
Collective Sharing and Connection: After the journaling and meditation session, participants are invited to share insights or feelings that emerged. This communal exchange fosters a sense of connection and shared purpose.
Closing with Tea and Fellowship: Conclude the evening with a social moment over tea, allowing for further reflection and bonding with fellow attendees.
ABOUT THE MUSIC
The pieces performed will be from The Wong Janice’s latest album: Cello for the Moon Phases, which is composed entirely on the cello, and processed through effects pedals and a loop machine which helps to build the layers and chords. This creates a more ambient soundscape which helps you to drift off and go deeper within yourself, rather than the typical classical cello sound.

The Wong Janice, a cellist renowned for her meditative soundscapes, crafts immersive musical experiences that invite listeners into a state of introspective calm. Through her contemplative compositions, Janice draws on the cello’s resonant depth processed through effects pedals and a loop machine to create a space for stillness and reflection. Her performances have garnered recognition for their unique ability to foster a gentle yet profound connection to the inner self, harmonizing seamlessly with mindful practices. The Wong Janice has performed everywhere, from TEDxAmsterdam, Amsterdam Dance Event, Down The Rabbit Hole, Landjuweel, ecstatic dance, club nights, yoga retreats, cacao ceremonies, corporate events, conferences, private house concerts and weddings to online events such as Inner Peace Conference, Insight Timer Summit, corporate meditation concerts and regular live-streams for her community.
While she loves performing, she spends much of her time in her studio, dedicating time to recording and publishing her music and courses online.

De Meditatietuin is located in Amstelpark.

– For a relaxed start as a whole group, we open the doors 15 min. before the start.
– Please allow an extra 5-10 minutes walking from the red bridge or main entrance, or more if you’ve never visited our center before.
– De Meditation Garden is located in the middle of the park, surrounded by beautiful, nourishing nature. It is the building between the Rietveld House and the Glass House and is best reached via the entrance with the red bridge. Google Maps will show you the way!
– Bicycles must be parked outside the park. Good to know: you risk a fine if you enter the park with your bike (so not even walking with your bike in hand)
– Wear comfortable clothes, and bring an extra pair of socks
– You will receive a worksheet with prompts and a pen
– Mattresses, yoga mats and meditation cushions will be provided
– This exclusive event is limited to 22 participants
– Included in the event is time for sharing after 60-minutes of music
