Please join us in celebrating the life of performance artist, writer, educator, and musician Warren Arcand.
We invite friends, family, and everyone whose lives were touched by Warren to join his Celebration of Life, sharing contributions that reflect their unique connection to him.

About Warren Arcand:
Warren Arcand (1966–2025) was a Cree performance artist, writer, educator, and musician, whose family comes from the Muskeg Lake and Big River First Nations. His work spanned performance art, film and video, theatre, and text-based projects. He taught at the Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design in Vancouver and served as artistic director of the Centre for Indigenous Theatre in Toronto. Although he lived in several Canadian cities, Warren considered Galiano Island his home for over 25 years, after moving there to join the Gulf Islands Film and Television School.
