About this Event
Supported Internships are a study programme for young people with an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan who want to move into paid employment with extra support. Interns spend a year based in the workplace five days a week, combining real work roles, classroom learning, and specialist job coaching.
We currently run four programmes across London and the South East and we are excited to be opening two new Supported Internships this September in Windsor and Crawley.
Taking place on the site of one of our host employers, Chartwell Universities, this event will be a chance to gather in person and celebrate all the amazing achievements of our growing programme.
You will be able to find out more about Supported Internships from those directly involved, including hearing from young people about its impact on them. This will also be an opportunity to network and build connections with like-minded organisations and local decision-makers.
Expect music, lunch, inspiring moments, and plenty of smiles.
This event is brought to you by Ambitious about Autism in partnership with Chartwells Universities and the University of Sussex, Brighton.
