Celebrating Ikebana for Everyone β An Exhibit in Harmony and Happiness
Come join us at Sulzer Regional Library, Chicago Public Library for a two day filled event in the art of Ikebana!
Ikebana is a Japanese style of flower arrangement. It has been practiced for more than 600 years.Now millions of people practice ikebana all over the world as a way to balance modern life. Ikebana is for Everybody. You are all invited to come enjoy this special event including the Ikebana exhibit, demonstration, Ikebana for kids workshop, and to meet with Ikebana enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Ikebana Demonstration: May 17, Saturday 2pm
Ikebana sensei and Master Margot Wang will demonstrate several signature styles for people to witnesshow flowers interact with nature, space and human beings.

Ikebana for Kids workshop: May 18, Sunday 2pm
Hands-on experience for children to construct a basic arrangement style.All materials are provided and children can take home their flower creations.

(Seats are limited to 20 kids.
Materials (Provided):
- Container
- Flowers
- Ikebana shears will be provided for each student to use while creating their arrangement.
Each student will take home the arrangement they create.
