Come celebrate Herb Day at Honest Weight Food Coop making the time old tradition of Fire Cider. Melissa Rivera, owner of Holistic Energy Healing and a member of the Wellness Department will share the history of this herbal tonic taught by world renowned Herbalist, Rosemary Gladstar. Fire Cider is an incredible immune support, digestive aid and is known to ward off colds.
Melissa will be using ingredients found in our very own produce department. Be ready to roll up your sleeves to make your own batch of Fire Cider amongst friends.
You will be provided with handouts and your own batch to bring home.
What to Expect:
-Handouts and Live Demonstration
-Your own 4 oz bottle of Fire Cider made in advance to take home
-You will also be making your own Fire Cider to decant in 6 weeks
-Community, fellowship and fun!
About Your Teacher:
Melissa Rivera is the owner of Holistic Energy Healing, LLC. As a community herbalist Melissa loves engaging the community in wellness practices that make sense to them. Infusing her Puerto Rican ancestry, traditions and intuition, to help guide her work. Melissa has taught wellness & body care classes, throughout NYC and the Hudson Valley, NY. Now living in Albany, Melissa loves her new community and all of its offerings. Melissa is a Member-Owner and Part Time Employee in the Wellness Department.
