As part of the celebration of International Women's Day in 2026, HeadHeartHand Foundation (3H Foundation) will host an interactive session with inspiring leaders in our community. Let's share our stories and celebrate the amazing women in our communities during this interactive session with our amazing moderator and panelists. This program is sponsored by the , one of the largest credit union foundations in Canada.

[Moderator]- Joana is a dedicated member of the 3HFoundation, was a single mother for a decade. Her unwavering commitment is to simplify the lives of single mothers and assist each one in realizing their full potential. She aims to broaden horizons and promote growth in three crucial areas: finances, parenting, and health and wellness.
[Panelist]- is a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with 39 years of experience, born and trained in Ghana, West Africa, where her passion for midwifery was inspired by her mother, an independent midwife of over 30 years. Since moving to British Columbia in 2015, she has continued her midwifery practice, eventually founding Queen Mary Midwifery. She is committed to accessible, community-based midwifery care and supporting informed birth choices for all mothers.
[Panelist]- is the Vice President of Internal Audit and Risk Advisory at Aritzia, bringing over 21 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, finance, and strategy. A certified auditor and chartered accountant, she has held senior leadership roles across global consulting firms including PwC, Deloitte, and Grant Thornton in South Africa, where she served as Partner and Director, specializing in governance, risk, and internal controls. She is a YWCA Woman of Distinction (2023), recipient of the Dress for Success Inspiration Award (2024), and recognized among the Top 50 Female Leaders in Vancouver (2022). She actively serves on multiple boards and holds an MBA and a BSc in Accounting.
[Panelist]- My beginnings were humble and simple. I was born in a small village in the state of Punjab, located in the north of India. I came from a very traditional family, and was not permitted to engage in sports. I therefore channeled all my energy into education. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts, and subsequently my Masters in Economics. After working over 8 years in the financial industry, I decided to transition into becoming a full time personal trainer.
[Host]- Juliana serves as a committed and forward-thinking director at the HeadHeartHand Foundation, utilizing her vast background in community empowerment to spearhead meaningful transformation. With a background in Criminology and Leadership, Juliana supports various community initiatives impacting teenagers, youths and seniors through a yearly series of Youth & Community incubator program.
