👁️✨ ST. LUCY (LUCIA) - Inspired by Saint Agatha, Lucia dedicated herself to Christ despite pressure from her loved ones, humiliation, and torture by the governor of Sicily. This courageous martyr is the patron saint of those with eye ailments.
🕊️📿 ST. DOMINIC DE GUZMAN - After his holy mother had difficulty conceiving, Dominic was the answer to her prayers. As a priest, he founded the Order of Friars Preachers (Dominicans) to counter heresy by spreading the Gospel with love, and promoted the Holy Rosary.
📖🕯️ ST. THOMAS AQUINAS - Bullied as a "dumb ox" for being large, shy, and slow of speech, Thomas is now perhaps the most famous Catholic philosopher and theologian. This 'Doctor of the Church' wrote thousands of pages, yet humbly compared his accomplishments to straw.
🖋️🔥 ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA - Gifted with a mystical prayer relationship with Jesus, Caterina became a bridge-builder and peacemaker - famously advising popes and princes. Her contributions to theology and spirituality earned her the title 'Doctor of the Church.'
