About this Event

CBC Toronto’s annual fundraiser, Make the Season Kind, is back and you're invited! Join us for a morning of free programming in support of food banks across the GTA.

Date: Dec. 5

Time: Doors open at 4:30 a.m., seating begins at 5 a.m. and the show starts at 5:30 a.m.

Location: Glenn Gould Studio, 250 Front St. W., Toronto

Join us for a live broadcast of Toronto’s No.1 morning show, , with CBC hosts David Common and Jill Dempsey, contributors Emily the Recruiter and finance columnist Shannon Lee Simmons, and special guests Sunday Magazine’s Piya Chattopadhyay and Commotion’s Elamin Abdelmahmoud.

Enjoy performances from some of Canada’s most talented musicians, including four-time Juno Award-winning rapper and singer TOBi, classic R&B and Southern soul artist Jeremie Albino, and indie-soul music group Shebad.

Tickets will be released here on Nov. 17, 2025, at 8 a.m. Be sure to get yours before they run out.

Seating is first come, first served. Admission is free, but if you'd like to give to a GTA food bank, the Daily Bread will be on-site accepting non-perishable food items, cash and electronic donations.

We’ll also have free coffee and hot chocolate for guests to enjoy.

When the broadcast ends, please enjoy our free Make the Season Kind Holiday Market.

Time: 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Location: CBC Atrium, 250 Front St. W., Toronto

Now is the perfect time to shop local! From jewellery, candles, art, baked goods, apparel and more, you can purchase goods from more than 30 vendors.

Also, snap a photo at our photo booth, take part in our interactive kindness exchange, and meet CBC hosts.
