About this Event
The cure for the Sunday scaries has soft ears, big eyes, and an aristocratic name. Welcome to Cavalier King Charles Puppy Yoga.
This is Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Puppy Yoga by Yoga Kawa in Mississauga, and it's designed to do one thing exceptionally well: make Sunday feel like Sunday again before the week swallows it.
You know the Sunday afternoon feeling. The week ahead starts creeping into your head, the day you were supposed to enjoy is half-gone, and somehow you've spent more of it on your phone than you meant to. This class is the antidote. You roll out a mat, the Cavalier puppies tumble in, and within about ninety seconds nothing on your to-do list seems all that urgent anymore. Funny how that works.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga with Cavalier puppies as your tiny royal co-teachers
- 20 minutes of pure cuddle time, kisses included, no extra charge
- 5 minutes of sharing circle to soak it all in before heading back into the world
Why people keep coming back
Puppy yoga does something a regular yoga class can't. The puppies wander, snuggle, and tumble around the room, and your nervous system just… exhales. Studies (and frankly, common sense) show that time with puppies lowers stress, lifts mood, and makes everything feel a little more manageable. You'll move your body, meet good humans, and remember what it feels like to laugh on a yoga mat.
A note on Cavalier King Charles puppies
Cavaliers are one of the most affectionate breeds you'll ever meet, and there's a long history behind that. The breed was a favorite of King Charles II of England, who was reportedly so attached to his that they followed him into court, council meetings, and (according to legend) basically everywhere else. The puppies inherit that same desire to be close to people. They have big, soulful eyes, silky ears that flop with every step, and an unhurried sweetness that's rare in puppies this small. Expect them to curl up next to you rather than zoom around the room. This is the snuggliest class on our schedule, and Cavalier owners would have it no other way.
A few good-to-knows
Kids ages 5 and up are welcome. Anyone under 18 needs to come with a parent or guardian, and grown-ups are responsible for helping their little ones move gently and handle the puppies with care. The puppies are small, the humans are kind, and the vibe is very much "everyone gets a turn."
Mats provided. No experience needed. Just show up ready to spend your Sunday in the company of some very small, very affectionate dogs with very long histories.
