About this Event
Vaughan, this one's for the Saturday you've been meaning to take back. The one where you don't half-watch a movie while scrolling your phone, don't run errands until 4pm, and don't end the day wondering where it went.
Welcome to Cavalier King Charles Puppy Yoga by Yoga Kawa in Vaughan. One hour, one yoga mat, one roomful of the snuggliest puppies in our entire lineup. Your only assignment is to be present for it.
Cavaliers are different from most puppies. They don't tumble around the room in chaotic bursts the way bulldogs or Dalmatians do. They snuggle. They lean in. They pick a person and stay. By the time class is over, you'll have one curled into the bend of your knee and another making slow, deliberate eye contact with you like you've known each other for years. It's the gentlest puppy class we run, and people who book it tend to book it again.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga with Cavalier puppies as your tiny royal co-teachers
- 25 minutes of pure cuddle time, kisses included, no extra charge
Why people keep coming back
Puppy yoga does something a regular yoga class can't. The puppies wander, snuggle, and tumble around the room, and your nervous system just… exhales. Studies (and frankly, common sense) show that time with puppies lowers stress, lifts mood, and makes everything feel a little more manageable. You'll move your body, meet good humans, and remember what it feels like to laugh on a yoga mat.
A note on Cavalier King Charles puppies
These dogs come with a backstory. The breed was the favorite of King Charles II of England, who reportedly took his everywhere, including (according to legend) into council meetings of state. The puppies inherit that same desire to be near people. Big, soulful eyes. Silky ears that flop with every step. An unhurried sweetness that's genuinely rare in puppies this small. Expect them to curl up beside you rather than zoom around the room, and expect at least one to commit fully to you for the entire hour.
A few good-to-knows
Kids ages 5 and up are welcome. Anyone under 18 needs to come with a parent or guardian, and grown-ups are responsible for helping their little ones move gently and handle the puppies with care. The puppies are small, the humans are kind, and the vibe is very much "everyone gets a turn."
Mats provided. No experience needed. Just show up ready to spend your Saturday with some very small, very affectionate dogs who have absolutely no intention of leaving your side.
